Privacy policy / Imprint
Data protection is of a particularly high priority for CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH.
The use of the internet pages of our company is basically possible without any indication of "personal data".
However, if a data subject wants to use special services or performances of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH via our website, processing of so-called "personal data" could become necessary. The CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH processes personal data of the website visitor only insofar as this is necessary for the provision of a functioning website and of our contents and services. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for the corresponding processing, we generally obtain the consent of the data subject. The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection standards applicable to the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH. By means of this data protection declaration, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH would like to inform and clarify the public about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data collected, used and processed by our enterprise. In addition, data subjects are informed by this data protection declaration of the rights to which they are entitled. As the controller, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure and guarantee the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. Nevertheless, we, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, point out that internet-based data transmissions can have security gaps, so that an absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, every data subject is free to transmit personal data to CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH by alternative means, for example by telephone.
Already at this point, special reference is made to the right of the data subject to object to the processing of data concerning him or her which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1)(e) or (f) EU GDPR (Article 21 EU GDPR). In this regard, please refer to section 11 f) of this data protection declaration.
We will also refer you to the right to object separately again in the individual sections (e.g. by stating: "You have a right to object"), if this right exists. There you will also find further information on how to exercise your right to object.
The data protection declaration of CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH is based on the terms used in the series of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing operations of personal data, Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) serves as the legal basis.
When processing personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures. Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 (1) c DSGVO serves as the legal basis.
In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make processing of personal data necessary, Art. 6 (1) (d) DSGVO serves as the legal basis.
If the processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not override the former interest, Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the processing.
Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.
The following data may be collected
(1) browser types and versions used,
(2) the operating system used by the accessing system,
(3) the website from which an accessing system arrives at our website (so-called "referrer"),
(4) the sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on our website,
(5) the date and time of an access to the internet page,
(6) an Internet Protocol ("IP") address,
(7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and
(8) other similar data and information, which serve the purpose of danger prevention in the event of attacks on the information technology systems of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH.
When using these general data and information, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH does not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather, this information is needed in order to
(1) to deliver the contents of our website correctly,
(2) optimise the content of our website and the advertising for it,
(3) ensure the long-term operability of the information technology systems of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH and the technology of our website, and
(4) to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber attack.
Therefore, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH analyses anonymously collected data and information both statistically, and with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security of our enterprise so that we can ultimately ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.
You have the right to object. You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to info@credo-solingen.de).
The controller, CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, will erase or block the data subject's personal data as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in Union regulations, laws or other provisions to which the controller is subject. Data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need to continue storing the data for the conclusion or performance of a contract.
Data subjects have the following rights under the EU GDPR:
(a) Right of confirmation and information
Right to confirmation and information.
Every data subject has the right, granted by the European Directive and Regulation-maker, to obtain confirmation from the controller (= CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH) as to whether personal data concerning him or her are being processed. If a data subject wishes to exercise this right, he or she may, at any time, contact any employee of the controller (= the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH). If such processing has taken place, you can obtain information (and a copy of this information) from the controller free of charge:
- the purposes of processing (= the purposes for which the personal data are processed)
- the categories of personal data processed
- the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular in the case of recipients in third countries or international organisations
- if possible, the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this duration
- the existence of the right to obtain the rectification or erasure of personal data concerning him or her, or the restriction of processing by the controller, or the right to object to such processing
- the existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory authority
- if the personal data are not collected from the data subject: Any available information on the origin of the data
- the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, pursuant to Article 22(1) and (4) of the GDPR and, at least in these cases, meaningful information about the logic involved and the scope and intended effects of such processing for the data subject.
You have the right to request information on whether personal data concerning you are transferred to a third country or to an international organisation. In this context, you may request to be informed about the appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 of the GDPR in connection with the transfer.
b) Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
Every person affected by the processing of personal data has the right, granted by the European Directive and Regulation-maker, to demand from the controller (= CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH) that the personal data concerning him or her be erased without delay, provided that one of the following reasons applies and insofar as the processing is not necessary:
- The personal data concerning you are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed
- You withdraw your consent on which the processing was based pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR and there is no other legal basis for the processing.
- The data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or the data subject objects to the processing pursuant to Article 21(2) GDPR.
- The personal data have been processed unlawfully.
- The deletion of personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the Member States to which the controller is subject.
- The personal data have been collected in relation to information society services offered pursuant to Article 8(1) GDPR.
If one of the aforementioned reasons applies, and a data subject wishes to arrange for the erasure of personal data stored by our enterprise CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, he or she may, at any time, contact any employee of the controller (= the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH).
The employee of our company shall immediately arrange for the deletion request to be complied with without delay. If the personal data have been made public by our enterprise, and our enterprise as the controller is obliged to delete the personal data pursuant to Article 17 (1) of the Data Protection Act, CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH shall implement reasonable measures (including technical measures), taking into account the available technology and the cost of implementation, to inform other data controllers which process the published personal data, that the data subject has requested from those other data controllers the deletion of all links to the personal data or to copies/reproductions of the personal data, unless the processing is necessary. The employee of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH will arrange the necessary in individual cases.
The right to erasure does not exist insofar as the processing is necessary
- for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information;
- for compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing under Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject, or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
- for reasons of public interest in the area of public health pursuant to Art. 9(2)(h) and (i) and Art. 9(3) DSGVO;
- for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or for statistical purposes pursuant to Article 89(1) DSGVO, insofar as the right referred to in section a) is likely to render impossible or seriously prejudice the achievement of the purposes of such processing; or
- for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
c) Right of rectification
You have a right to rectification and/or completion vis-à-vis the controller if the personal data processed concerning you is inaccurate or incomplete. The controller shall make the rectification without undue delay.
d) Right to restrict processing
Under the following conditions, you may request the restriction of the processing of personal data concerning you from the controller (= CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH):
- The accuracy of the personal data is contested by the data subject for a period enabling the controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data.
- The processing is unlawful, the data subject objects to the erasure of the personal data and requests instead the restriction of the use of the personal data.
- The data subject has objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) of the GDPR and it is not yet clear whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.
- The data subject has objected to the processing pursuant to Article 21(1) of the GDPR and it is not yet clear whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.
If one of the aforementioned conditions is met, and a data subject wishes to request the restriction of personal data stored by our enterprise CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, he or she may, at any time, contact any employee of the controller. The employee of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH will arrange the restriction of the processing. If the processing of personal data relating to you has been restricted, this data may - apart from being stored - only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the Union or a Member State. If the restriction of processing has been restricted in accordance with the above conditions, you will be informed by the controller before the restriction is lifted.
e) Right to data transferability
You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to the controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transmit this data to another controller without hindrance from the controller to whom the personal data was provided, provided that
- the processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR or Art. 9 (2) a GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1) b GDPR and
- the processing is carried out with the aid of automated procedures.
The freedoms and rights of other persons must not be affected by this.
The right to data portability shall not apply to the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller. In order to assert the right to data portability, the data subject may at any time contact any employee of our enterprise, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH.
Any data subject concerned by the processing of personal data has the right, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning him or her which is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the EU Data Protection Regulation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions.
The CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH shall no longer process the personal data in the event of the objection, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH processes personal data for direct marketing purposes, the data subject shall have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data processed for such marketing. This also applies to the profiling, insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If the data subject objects to our enterprise, the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, to the processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process the personal data for these purposes.
In addition, the data subject has the right, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation, to object to processing of personal data concerning him or her which is carried out by our enterprise (= the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH) for scientific or historical research purposes, or for statistical purposes pursuant to Article 89 (1) of the Data Protection Act (DS-GVO), unless such processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
In order to exercise the right to object, the data subject may directly contact any employee of the CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH. You have the possibility, in connection with the use of information society services - notwithstanding Directive 2002/58/EC - to exercise your right to object by means of automated procedures using technical specifications.
g) Automated decisions in individual cases, including profiling.
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects in relation to you or significantly affects you in a similar way. This does not apply if the decision
(1) is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract between you and the person responsible
(2) is authorised by Union or national legislation to which the person responsible is subject and that legislation provides for appropriate measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests; or
(3) with your express consent.
However, these decisions may not be based on special categories of personal data in accordance with Art. 9 paragraph 1 DSGVO, unless Art. 9 paragraph 2 lit. a or g DSGVO applies and appropriate measures have been taken to protect the rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests.
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. This does not apply if the decision
h) Right to withdraw consent under data protection law
Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to withdraw his/her consent to the processing of personal data at any time. Revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revoked. If the data subject wishes to exercise his or her right to withdraw consent, he or she may at any time contact an employee of the data controller (= CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH).

So-called social plugins ("plugins") of the social network Facebook are used on our website. Facebook is a social network. A social network is a social meeting place operated on the Internet, an online community that generally enables users to communicate with each other and interact in virtual space. A social network can serve as a platform for exchanging opinions and experiences or enables the internet community to provide personal or company-related information. Facebook allows users of the social network to create private profiles, upload photos and network via friend requests, among other things.
The operating company of Facebook is Facebook, Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The controller of personal data, if a data subject lives outside the USA or Canada, is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly assign your visit to our website to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" button or posting a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
Data protection regulations on the use/application of Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)
The controller (= CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH) has installed the Google Analytics service (including anonymisation function) on this homepage. Google Analytics is a web analysis software. Web analysis is the collection, compilation and evaluation of data on the surfing behaviour of visitors/users of websites. A web analysis service collects, among other things, data about the website from which a data subject has accessed a website, which sub-pages of the homepage have been accessed or how often and for how long a sub-page has been viewed. A web analysis is usually used to optimise a website and to analyse the costs and benefits of internet advertising.
The operating company of the Google Analytics component is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The service uses "cookies" - text files that are stored on your terminal device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
IP anonymisation is used on this website. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. Under the terms of the data sharing agreement that the website operators have concluded with Google Inc., Google Inc. uses the information collected to evaluate website usage and website activity and to provide services related to internet usage.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data described here is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our necessary legitimate interest lies in the great benefit that the functions described above have for our offer. In particular, the statistical evaluation of user behaviour enables us to respond to the interests of users and to optimise our offer.
You have the right to object. You have the right to object. You have the option of preventing the cookie from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies. Reference is made to point 5 of this data protection declaration in order to avoid repetition.
Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc. The following link will take you to the corresponding plugin: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The company operating the Google AdWords services is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.
The purpose of Google AdWords is to advertise our website by displaying advertisements relevant to our interests on the websites of third parties and in the search engine results of the Google search engine and by displaying third-party advertising on our website. If a person concerned reaches our website via a Google advertisement, a so-called conversion cookie is stored on the information technology system of the person concerned by Google. What cookies are has already been explained above. A conversion cookie loses its validity after thirty days and does not serve to identify the person concerned. If the cookie has not expired, the conversion cookie is used to determine whether certain sub-pages, for example the shopping basket from an online shop system, have been called up on our website. The conversion cookie enables both we and Google to track whether a person concerned who has reached our website via an AdWords ad has generated sales, i.e. whether he or she has completed or cancelled a purchase of goods. The data and information collected through the use of the conversion cookie is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. These visit statistics are in turn used by us to determine the total number of users who were referred to us via AdWords ads, i.e. to determine the success or failure of the respective AdWords ad and to optimise our AdWords ads for the future. Neither our company nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive information from Google that could be used to identify the person concerned. The conversion cookie is used to store personal information, such as the websites visited by the person concerned. Whenever our website is visited, personal data, including the IP address of the Internet connection used by the person concerned, is transmitted to Google in the United States of America. This personal data is stored by Google in the United States of America. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical process to third parties.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data described here is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. The possibility of evaluating the success of individual offers enables us, among other things, to react in a targeted manner to market behaviour and to place our offers in the best possible way for interested users. Google also has a legitimate interest in the (personal) data collected in order to improve its own services.
You have the right to object. The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, as described above, at any time by means of a corresponding setting in the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent Google from setting a conversion cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. In addition, a cookie already set by Google AdWords can be deleted at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs. Furthermore, the person concerned has the possibility to object to interest-based advertising by Google. To do so, the person concerned must access www.google.de/settings/ads from each of the Internet browsers he or she uses and make the desired settings there. Further information and Google's applicable privacy policy can be found at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ can be called up.
We use external fonts, so-called Google Fonts, on our website. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. ("Google"), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
The integration of the web fonts takes place via an interface ("API") to the Google services. By integrating the web fonts, Google may collect and process information (including personal data). It cannot be ruled out that Google also transmits the information to a server in a third country.
We ourselves do not collect any data in the context of providing the Google Fonts.
By integrating Google Fonts, we pursue the purpose of being able to display uniform font types on your device.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data described here is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our necessary legitimate interest lies in the great benefit that a uniform display of fonts offers. Through the possibility of a uniform display, we keep the design effort lower than if we had to react to font standards of different operating systems or browsers with our own graphically adapted web pages. Google also has a legitimate interest in the (personal) data collected in order to improve its own services.
More information can be found at:
You have the right to object.
You can send or inform us of your objection at any time (e.g. by e-mail to info@credo-solingen.de).
The processing is based on personal data. data is based on Article 6 I lit. f) EU-DSGVO, the legitimate interest of CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH is to carry out our business operations for the benefit of our employees and our shareholders.
The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective legal retention period. After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract.
We, CREDO Handelsgesellschaft mbH, would like to inform you that the provision of personal data is partly required by law (e.g. tax regulations) or may result from contractual regulations (e.g. information on the contractual partner). Sometimes it may be necessary for a contract to be concluded that a person concerned makes personal data available to us, which must subsequently be processed by us. For example, the person concerned is obliged to provide us with personal data if our company concludes a contract with him/her. Failure to provide the personal data would mean that the contract with the person concerned could not be concluded. Before the person concerned makes personal data available, the person concerned must contact one of our employees. Our employee will inform the data subject on a case-by-case basis whether the provision of the personal data is required by law or contract or is necessary for the conclusion of the contract, whether there is an obligation to provide the personal data and what the consequences would be if the personal data were not provided.
In the event of violations of data protection law, the person concerned has a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in matters of data protection law is the State Data Protection Commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of the data protection officers and their contact details can be found on the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Obligations to remove or block the use of information in accordance with general laws remain unaffected by this. However, liability in this regard is only possible from the point in time at which a concrete infringement of the law becomes known. If we become aware of any such infringements, we will remove the relevant content immediately.
Liability for links
Our offer contains links to external websites of third parties, the contents of which we have no influence on. Therefore we cannot assume any liability for these external contents. The respective provider or operator of the sites is always responsible for the content of the linked sites. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not identified at the time of linking. However, a permanent control of the contents of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of a violation of the law. If we become aware of any infringements, we will remove such links immediately.
The contents and works on these pages created or used by the site operators are subject to German copyright law. Downloads and copies of this site are only permitted for private, non-commercial use. Insofar as the content on this site was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. In particular, third-party content is marked as such.
